music for six smart phones
This sound object / postcard is a score, on one side it depicts a google map image of Interface, Inagh a place where I attended a remote residency in 2020 and the other side has instructions with QR codes to access the score for the duration of the exhibition with a date to perform.
The hope would be to have 50 of the cards available to members of the public as an invitation to join a Zoom orchestra, where with our smart phones we would each choose one of the six pieces and then together perform the second rendition.
This work is evolving, its themes explore the sonification of surveillance, compositions based on imagining trees as antennae, the tones of a radionics device, unearthing electromagnetic induction
and
creating a collaborative shared experience, while sounding from a distance.
